Salman Khan sends Diwali wishes to soldiers with a video
Salman Khan, who will be seen in the role of a soldier in his upcoming film ‘Tubelight’, has sent across his best wishes for Diwali to the brave soldiers of the country who sacrifice their lives for our safety.
The ‘Sultan’ actor took to his Facebook page and wished the real heroes of the nation writing, “My hearty greetings to the army soldiers and young people of the country and Happy Diwali to all #Sandesh2Soldiers.”
Salman shared Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special video message ‘#Sandesh2Soldiers’ appealing people to dedicate this Diwali to our soldiers. In the video, the Prime Minister asks all countrymen to send their wishes and greetings to army men who relentlessly work towards protection of our country.
The nearly four-minute video starts with a child who sends a ‘Thank You’ rocket along with a message for the forces. It also features a mother making ‘ladoos’ for her son who will arrive on Diwali, while remembering the personnel of the armed forces who have to stay away from their families on such occasions. The video beautifully evokes emotions of pride and gratitude for the armed forces.
Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, singer Kailash Kher are among the many others who have sent Diwali wishes for our soldiers.
Meanwhile, Salman has wrapped up the shooting of Manali schedule of Kabir Khan directorial ‘Tubelight’. The movie set in the backdrop of Indo-Sino War of 1962 is slated to hit screens on Eid next year.
