Watch Trailer: ‘Hanuman Da Damdaar’ in Salman Khan's voice

Salman Khan will be next seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ which will be out on the occasion of Eid in June. But before that, fans of the superstar can hear him in the animated film ‘Hanuman Da Damdaar, set to release next month. The trailer is out today and we can hear Salman Khan lends his voice to adult Hanuman.

‘Hanuman Da Damdaar’ has a remarkable voice cast of popular Bollywood actors, including Salman who has lent his voice to the grown-up Hanuman in the movie, while Raveena Tandon has voiced little Hanuman’s mother Devi Anjani. Interestingly, Salman has played the role of an ardent Hanuman devotee in 2015 blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Last week on Hanuman Jayanti (April 11), Salman released the motion poster of the mythological film on Twitter and Facebook with the promise of a ‘damdaar’ (powerful) summer. “Yeh Summer hoga bada Damdaar, Dekho motion poster of #HanumanDaDamdaar Aaj HanumanJayanti ke din. @hanuman_damdaar . Check it out,” the ‘Sultan’ actor captioned the post. And now the trailer has also been released and it is out and out interesting.

The grown-up Hanuman, voiced by Salman, is heard mouthing the actor's popular dialogues like ‘Ek baar jo mene commitment kar di’, ‘Hata saawan ki ghata, what about my katha?’ The dialogues are in a lingo that will strike a chord with viewers of today's generation.

Saurabh Sukhla, Javed Akhtar, Kunal Kemmu, Makarand Deshpande, Vinay Pathak and Chunky Pandey are others who have also given their voice to various animated characters in the film.

Written and directed by Ruchi Narain, it is the second in the Hanuman franchise and is said to be turning mythology into literature that the kids today will understand and appreciate. ‘Hanuman Da Damdaar’ narrates the story of young Hanuman when he meets Lord Ram. It is the story of how he was oblivious of his strength, mettle and purpose in life at the time and found inspiration in Lord Ram.

‘Hunuman Da Damdaar’ is scheduled to release on May 19.
