Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif’s ‘Bharat’ inching towards 100 crore club


Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Bharat’ spells magic at the box-office. The film has started off fabulously and is inching towards 100 crore club. On the third day, the film has made a whopping 95.50 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that the film has maintained its grip but saw a normal decline on the thirds day.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s figure. He wrote: “#Bharat maintains a grip on Day 3 [Fri]... Mass circuits remain strong, while some circuits faced normal decline after #Eid festivities... Should witness an upturn on Day 4 [Sat] and 5 [Sun]... Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr, Fri 22.20 cr. Total: ? 95.50 cr. India biz.” He predicted that the film would go past Rs 100 by the end of day 4. “As #Bharat cruises past ? 100 cr mark today [Day 4], Salman Khan sets another benchmark: Highest number of films in ? 100 cr+ Club... The tally rises to 14 with #Bharat... Breakup: ? 300 cr: 3, ? 200 cr: 2, ? 100 cr: 9 India biz.”

According to Box Office India report, the film saw a dip of 25% on day three.

In two days, the film has earned about Rs 73.30 crore. Sharing the box office collection on Twitter, Taran wrote: “#Bharat puts up a big total on Day 2 [working day after #Eid holiday]... Plexes saw normal decline, while single screens held fort... Saw excellent occupancy in evening/night shows... Overall, 2-day total is superb... Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr. Total: ? 73.30 cr. India biz.”

Taran noted that multiplexes saw a normal decline but it’s occupancy is higher in single screen cinemas.

This is Salman’s biggest opening ever. It has earned Rs 42.3 crore on its opening day, thereby beating all Salman’s previous releases. Released in 4700 screens across India, Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ has managed to get a marvellous opening. It has garnered Rs 42.3 crore in the opening day.

‘Bharat’ has defeated all the previous releases of ‘Bharat’ like ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’,‘Sultan’  ‘Tubelight.

Taran Adarsh shared 'Bharat' opening day performance, he wrote: "Salmania grips the nation... Bharatstorms the BO... Proves *yet again* Salman Khan is the biggest crowd puller... Bharat opens much bigger than Salman-Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai [Rs. 34.10 cr] and Sultan [Rs. 36.54 cr]... Wed Rs. 42.30 cr. India biz."

‘Bharat’ will showcase Salman’s character aging from a child to a 60-year-old man. He will be donning five different looks for the film.

It is the official remake of Ode To My Father. Apart from Salman, the film features Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff. Produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar under the banner of Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd. and Salman Khan Films, the movie released worldwide on Wednesday.
