Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif’s ‘Bharat’ earns 42.3 crore on its opening day


Salman Khan’s 2019 Eid release ‘Bharat’ strikes gold at the box-office. This is Salman’s biggest opening ever. It has earned Rs 42.3 crore on its opening day, thereby beating all Salman’s previous releases. Released in 4700 screens across India, Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ has managed to get a marvellous opening. It has garnered Rs 42.3 crore in the opening day.

‘Bharat’ has defeated all the previous releases of ‘Bharat’ like ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’,‘Sultan’  ‘Tubelight.

‘Bharat’is all about Salman, Salman and Salman. The superstar’s fans will get to see every avatars of the supesrat. The film has emotions, actions, romance etc. It is a complete entertainment. Moreover, audience like Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan’s Jodi.

The film opened with mixed reviews but the actor's fans showered full love. While Taran Adarsh gave an outstanding 4.5 stars, trade expert Amod Mehra has given Bharat 0 stars. His explanation? “#Bharat is a must watch. How else can one decide whether #Bharat is as despicable as #Tubelight #Race3 #ThugsOfHindustan #Kalank.. or even worse?” he said in a tweet.

Taran Adarsh shared 'Bharat' opening day performance, he wrote: "Salmania grips the nation... Bharatstorms the BO... Proves *yet again* Salman Khan is the biggest crowd puller... Bharat opens much bigger than Salman-Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai [Rs. 34.10 cr] and Sultan [Rs. 36.54 cr]... Wed Rs. 42.30 cr. India biz."

"Emerges Salman's biggest opener ever, surpassing *Day 1* biz of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo," tweeted Mr Adarsh.  He also compared 'Bharat' with Salman's previou films.

‘Bharat’ will showcase Salman’s character aging from a child to a 60-year-old man. He will be donning five different looks for the film.

It is the official remake of Ode To My Father. Apart from Salman, the film features Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff.
