Salman Khan in Manali for second schedule of ‘Tubelight’

Salman Khan is shooting for the second schedule of Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The superstar reached the hill station on Saturday where a large crowd gathered at the Kullu Manali Airport to receive him.

The actor was accompanied by his sister Arpita and her husband Aayush Sharma and their little boy Ahil. Aayush’s ancestral home is in Mandi town, which is about 108 kilometres from Manali.

The team will shoot at Naggar, a charming village in Kullu valley known for its quaint old houses. The film will also have scenes of the majestic Rohtang Pass, the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti, besides Solang Nullah, a government official told IANS. The crew would stay in Manali for four weeks, the official added.

Various fan clubs of Salman have shared pictures of Salman and the film’s team on social media. The ‘Sultan’ actor is seen wearing a traditional cap as locals receive him with bouquets of flowers. Other pictures from the location showed him in checked shirt and a brown half-sweater. His brother-in-law Aayush is also spotted in some pictures walking with him.

Aayush also posted a picture of himself and son Ahil Sharma on Instagram with the location of Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

The second schedule of ‘Tubelight’ was to begin in the Kashmir Valley, but it was deferred owing to prevailing unrest there, an insider said. The movie went on floors in Ladakh in July and the shooting was completed before schedule. Salman’s alleged ladylove Iulia Vantur had also accompanied him. Her parents were also spotted there.

‘Tubelight’ is the third collaboration between Salaman and Kabir after the blockbusters ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in 2012 and last year’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The movie is said to be a historical drama based on the 1962 India-China War. It stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu who has featured in Hollywood movies like ‘Shanghai Calling’ and ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’ and Chinese supernatural thriller ‘Last Flight’. She was also seen in Netflix’s Marco Polo and was a VJ of MTV China.

‘Tubelight’ is slated to release on Eid next year.
