Salman Khan buys a 120-crore plot
2009 changed the course of Salman Khan’s career for the better. The film “Wanted” started off his series of hits one after the other. Since then there has been no looking back for him.
With his career going on in full swing, he is sure to have amassed crores. News is that, Salman Khan now has paid for a sprawling plot which covers over 14,000 square feet in Santacruz, specifically Linking Road. The plot has been estimated to be of 120 crores.
The deal was closed last month as has been revealed by Parthesh Developers, and the property will soon be registered in his name. It is being claimed that he will be constructing an office at that space. The people associated with this agreement had been mum about this development initially revealing that they had only been in talks with Salman.
Nirav Shah, the builder, had then said, “I am planning to sell the plot, but talks are on with many people and no money has been exchanged yet.” It was sources from the real estate firms, who function in Santacruz and Bandra, who confirmed this news and also revealed that Salman had paid a part of the large sum.
Earlier Yantrik Society, a building that had four floors and boarded 16 flats, reserved the plot. Later it was Parthesh Developers who paid up for the plot 2 years back and got the building vacated and demolished this year.
A broker revealed, “The builder had plans of erecting another multi-storied structure at the spot, but things didn't materialize and so he had put the plot up for sale and was looking for buyers who would purchase it immediately. Salman showed interest and even bought the plot. He now plans to construct a building that would be his office in future.”
A realtor revealed that the plot is situated in a prime location that is close to Linking Road, and also added “It has good commercial value, which will increase once the structure comes up. The building can be up to 12 storeys high and a maximum FSI of 2.35 can be availed, which would involve TDR and fungible FSI.”
Salman Khan was sought for his validation of this news but he was not available for any comment. However, a source who is close to the actor completely denied this news. Thus only time will tell if this news is true.
