Salman Khan begins training for ‘Sultan’

Superstar Salman Khan has kick-started his intensive training for wrestling and mixed martial arts for his role in the much-talked about film ‘Sultan’. The ‘Dabangg’ star will portray the character of a Haryanvi wrestler in the movie.

Salman had already roped in international stunt director Larnell Stovall for ‘Sultan’ and is training with Larnell and his team for four hours daily. His training will continue for the next two months.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news and also posted a picture of Salman training with Larnell on Twitter. “Salman Khan starts daily 4-hour training for #Sultan with action director Larnell Stovall and team, who have been flown from LA... contd.” “Salman will be trained in wrestling and mixed martial arts for the next 2 months for #Sultan,” Taran tweeted.

Larnell is a popular name in the West and is best known for his stunts in Hollywood’s ‘Hunger Games’ series.

‘Sultan’ is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The ‘Gunday’ director also shared a picture from Salman’s training session on the micro-blogging site and wrote, “Sultan @BeingSalmanKhan starts wrestling and mixed martial arts with @larnellstovall and team for next two months."

The shooting for the film is scheduled to commence from November. In the meantime, composer duo Vishal-Shekhar have begun work on the soundtrack and have promised “more magic” with the music of ‘Sultan’.

“Recording schedule 2 of #Sultan begins today. More music. More magic. @aliabbaszafar @BeingSalmanKhan @VishalDadlani,” Shekhar Ravjiani posted on his Twitter handle.

The lead actress for ‘Sultan’ has not been announced yet.

Produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the film is reportedly based on wrestler Sultan Ali Khan and Salman will be playing a double role.

As of now, ‘Sultan’ is slated to release on Eid next year, coinciding with the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’.
