Salman Khan backs Shahrukh as ‘Bigg Boss 8’ host


After hosting four consecutive seasons, Salman Khan has walked out as ‘Bigg Boss 8’ host and he feels that Shahrukh Khan will make for ‘great host’. Salman has backed Shahrukh as ‘Bigg Boss 8’ host. Salman and Shahrukh share a very complex relationship. They have hugged one another in several occasions but still Salman and Shahrukh’s relationship is bit confusing.

At the launch of the song, ‘Devil’, from his forthcoming film ‘Kick’, the 48-year-old was asked about hosting the reality show, ‘Bigg Boss 8’ and he answered diplomatically.

He said: "There is a possibility (that I may host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss) and there is no possibility also."

In the past, celebrities like Arshad Warsi, Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, and Sanjay Dutt hosted the show.

Further on being asked as to who will be a good host for the show, if not him, he said: "If not me, then I think Shahrukh Khan will be a great host for this season of Bigg Boss."

It is believed that channel is not happy with Sallu giving his personal views and being too judgmental about the participants. They are also not too happy with his biased attitude towards few participants. In the past, few contestants of the show discussed about Salman being biased.

Salman has his likings and disliking and his fluctuate mood has irked the channel. In the past, Salman invited controversy for supporting Tanisha and Armaan Kohli. KushalTandon’s re-entry on the show also irked the actor. He had also differences with the channel in season 5 over the change of slot from 9 pm to 11 pm.

Though the exact reason of his exit from the show is not known, it is said that Salman is not happy with the remuneration, while some say he is too busy to shoot for 'Bigg Boss'.
