Salman Khan arrives in Kashmir for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

Superstar Salman Khan reached Kashmir amid violent protests over arrest of separatist leader Masarat Alam on Saturday for the shooting of Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The actor was supposed to shoot in Kashmir but the shoot pushed behind due to non-stop heavy rain, which flooded many areas.

Finally, Kabir Khan and his team landed in Kashmir. When Salman stepped outside Srinagar airport, there were huge crowd. Director Kabir Khan planned to shoot in the exotic locations of Pahalgam and Gulmarg. About 70 percent of the shooting of the film concluded in various other locations.

The director planned to stay a month in the valley and he wanted to shoot few action scenes, a war sequence and a song. If the actor gets time, he plans to tour the valley and interact with the people.

"Kabir wanted to start shooting in the first week of April, but the shooting got delayed due to the rains in the Valley’, he sources said.

In the long successful career, this is Salman’s first visit to the valley. He was given a traditional welcome at the Srinagar International Airport by the officials of Tourism Department and an event management company 'The Wings'.

 Shahrukh Khan and Aamir already shot in Kashmir.

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ features Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Proper security arrangements have been made for Khan's stay and the shooting will take place in a highly protected area.
