The trailer of Salman Khan’s long awaited film ‘Kick’ was released on 15th June. Within 2 days, it reached almost 5 million hits on YouTube. To keep up the hype surrounding the film, the director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala has announced to release a song from the film’s soundtrack on Friday, 20th June. The playful, peppy song ‘Jumme Ki Raat’ has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and sung by Mika Singh and Palak Muchhal. The release was scheduled on Friday because the day is considered to be an auspicious day by the Muslim community.

The producer claimed that the song is going to be a treat for Salman Khan’s fans. In a statement Sajid Nadiadwala said, “The song ‘Jumme ki Raat’ is a treat for all the fans of Salman. It is shot in the underground style on a very big scale. We have tried to give it the edgy and grungy feel. The entire team of the song has done a fabulous job of putting this together with interesting visuals.”  The song was shot at a suburban studio in Mumbai and is choreographed by Ahmed Khan.  The film is scheduled to release on Eid this year. Judging by the frenzy surrounding the trailer, a lot of people will surely tune in to hear the song. ‘Kick’ marks the directorial debut of noted producer Sajid Nadiadwala and stars Salmsn Khan, Jacqueline Fernandes, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda in the main roles. It is the official remake of the 2009 Telugu film of the same name that starred Ravi Teja and Ileana D'Cruz in the main roles.

‘Kick’ is a very important film for Salman, more so because his last film ‘Jai Ho’ did not live up to the expectations. On the other hand, SRK and Aamir have delivered record making blockbusters. Therefore the success of ‘Kick’ could be pivotal for Salman. There are many things that are being done for the first time in the film. This is the first time pairing of Salman and Jacqueline. She is also for the first time dubbing her own lines on Salman’s insistence. Salman has grown a beard for the first time for the film and will also be sporting a mask. Salman is playing a darker character in this film which is a rare thing. Salman will be seen performing several dangerous stunts in the film himself. There is also some buzz over ‘Kick’ being a superhero film because of the trailer and promotional poster.
