Salman celebrates Eid with family; says fans’ love matters more than film’s success

Superstar Salman Khan celebrated the festival of Eid with double fervour along with his family at his Bandra residence, and thanked his fans for the huge success of his film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The film grossed over Rs 27 crore on the opening day.

Keeping up with the ‘Selfie Lele Re’ trend on the occasion, Salman posed for a selfie with brothers Sohail and Arbaaz and father Salim and shared it on Instagram with the caption, ‘Father and Sons !!! #family#love#togetherness#united#forever... Eid Mubarak to all.’

The 49-year-old actor also greeted his fans gathered outside his residence and thanked them for making his latest release a huge success.

According to him, his fans’ love and appreciation matter more than box office success of a film. “This Eid, I need appreciation. Now, that the film has released we hope people like the film and appreciate the work of every actor and every other person involved with the film,” said the ‘Kick’ star.

"It is not ok if the film does well commercially and doesn't get appreciation. But if the film doesn't do well and if the appreciation is more I would prefer that," the actor told PTI.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is Salman’s second film with director Kabir Khan. Their previous film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ also performed very well at the box office.

Salman’s upcoming films are Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ opposite Sonam Kapoor which is set to release in November. His next is ‘Sultan’ set for Eid next year and he has also announced to make a third instalment of ‘Dabangg’ franchise.
