Salman and Shah Rukh not to share screen in Aditya Chopra’s next

Fans of the two big Khans – Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were overly excited when there was buzz that the two superstars will come together in Aditya Chopra’s next directorial venture. It was reported that the Yash Raj Films’ honcho had replaced his original choice Ranveer Singh with Salman.

"It is the same film for which Ranveer Singh was earlier being considered. Adi felt that the Shah Rukh-Salman combo would work wonders at the box-office and so, decided to sign Salman instead of Ranveer. Shah Rukh has already given his nod to him," a Mid-day reported had quoted its source.

However, it now turns out that all buzz about the ‘Karan Arjun’ stars coming together for a film was a false rumour after all. A report in a leading daily said a close source of the ‘Happy New Year’ star has told that the actor has rubbished all these stories as "totally baseless".

This has dampened the anticipation of fans who were hoping to see their favourite stars on screen together. Salman and Shah Rukh had earlier shared screen in films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’ before things got sour between them. But they have patched up and are friends again.

It is not known yet who will be ultimately cast for the said film which is said to be as romantic thriller. The film is likely to go no floors by the end of 2016.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh will be seen next in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ in December and two films – ‘Fan’ and ‘Raees’ are set to release next year. Salman’s film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ by Sooraj Barjatya will be out in November and his ‘Sultan’ will release next year.
