Saif Ali Khan: I am in no rush to become father

A couple of months ago Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan expressed her desire to be a mother, but not in the next two-three years. Now, her husband actor Saif Ali Khan has said that they are in no hurry to have children.

"I am in no rush to become father... whenever she is ready (for it)," Saif told PTI in an interview. Saif already has two children – daughter Sara and son Ibrahim - from his previous marriage with actress Amrita Singh.

Kereena is very friendly with Saif’s children, while he too shares a great bond with her mother Babita Kapoor and sister Karishma. In June this year, the couple along with the children and Saif’s sister Soha, her husband Kunal Khemmu and Karishma had been on a vacation in London.

Kareena and Saif got married in October 2012, but marriage hasn’t affected Kareena’s film career and she has been having a good run at the box office. Her films ‘Satyagraha’ and ‘Gori Tere Pyar mein’ released in 2013. Her last film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ opposite Salamn Khan was a runaway hit and is the top grossing Bollywood film. She will be next seen in R. Balki’s ‘Ki and Ka’ opposite Arjun Kapoor.

The ‘Phantom’ actor said Kareena has managed to strike a fine balance between the blockbusters and small-budget films with meaty roles. "I think it is important for her to balance with huge blockbuster films where she has nice small roles and with smaller budget films that are about her. She is doing that balance really well. I am happy to see that," he said.

He also added that he likes to watch Kareena in romantic roles like the one she played in 2007 release ‘Jab We Met’.
