Sadly demise of producer Jhammu Sugandh

Noted Bollywood producer Jhammu Sugandh passes away this morning following cardiac arrest. He was in his late 50s. Last night, he was rushed to the Life Criticare Hospital in Juhu by his family when he complained of uneasiness and breathing problem. Reaching there, he suffered another stroke and passed away around 11:20 am.

The producer has many well known films to his credit. He is known to produce both commercial and non-commercial films like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Aks, Buddhadev Dasgupta's Kaalpurush and many others.

His film Black Friday speaks about the conspiracy behind the serial bomb blasts of Mumbai on March 12 1993. His other films include, Filhaal, Chachi 420, Rangeela and Earth. Unfortunately, his production company suffered huge financial loss two years back and still did not able to recover it. His two new releases like JaaneTu Ya Jaane Na and Gulaal were shelved for quite sometime and at last Aamir Khan took over the production charge. Recently, he also announced five Bengali movies in Kolkata in joint production with Bengali superstar Prasonjit but unfortunately, he did not work out.
