‘Sadak’ villain Sadashiv Amrapurkar’s condition serious


Bollywood iconic villain and popular Marathi actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar is critically ill. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) couple of days back due to lung infection and his condition did not improve. His condition deteriorated since then and is now on life support ventilator.

“He is on life support ventilator now but his condition is critical. However, his body is responding well to the ventilators. He suffered from lung infection a few weeks back following which he was hospitalized at Kokilaben hospital,” daughter Reema Amrapurkar told IANS.

The 64-year-old, last seen in ‘Baombay Talkies’ is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

Known for his brilliant performance in ‘Sadak’, the actor won Filmfare Award for 'Ardh Satya' for Best Supporting Actor and was the first to be awarded the Best Performance in a Negative Role in 1991 for 'Sadak'.

Apart from acting, Amrapurkar is also involved in various social cause.
