The two-minute video song begins with a shot of Mumbai’s landmark The Gateway of India followed by an empty stadium where a stand is dedicated to Sachin Tendulkar. Then chants of ‘Sachin Sachin’ reverberates and there of scenes of Sachin wielding his bat, doing net practice, working out and praying. The anthem brings back memories for every Sachin fan who hailed ‘Sachin Sachin’ whenever he was on field, either from the stadium or before one’s TV sets.

Music maestro A.R Rahman has composed the track which has been crooned by Sukhwinder Singh along with Kaly. The inspiring lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil.

Sachin, Rahman, Sukhwinder, along with producer Ravi Bhagchandka and director James Erskine lanched the song at an event in Mumbai yesterday (May 9). Sukhwinder enthralled the spectators by crooning the song live, while others shared their experience on making the film.

Sachin also shared his treasured boyhood stories and revealed that it was his mother who first started to shout ‘Sachin Sachin’. “"I remember my mother used to say 'Sachin... Sachin upar aa jao' (Sachin, Sachin come up)," he said.

The batting legend was nostalgic at the launch and said, “It brings back memories. We didn't have indoor practice pitches so we used to practice in the rain. It is magnificent and overwhelming reliving my life. I was living by the mantra of looking towards the next match one after another."
