‘Saand Ki Aankh’ First Look: Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar plays aged sharpshooters

The first look of ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ was unveiled and it shows two dynamic stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in never-seen-before role. The two are playing the role of world’s oldest sharpshooters from India, Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.

The poster speaks about the powerful role they are portraying on-screen. Both hold a gun in their hand.

Chandro and Prakashi Tomar belonged to Uttar Pradesh's Johri village in Bagpat district.

The slogans on the poster read, "Tann budha hota hai, mann budha nai hota" and "They broke out of their cage...At 60, they rose above their age...with 700 medals they became a rage..." The shoot for the movie is underway and will be hitting the theatres on Diwali.

Talking about her character, Bhumi said, “These two women by sheer stroke of luck become sharp shooters. They travel the world, they are given incredible recognitions, they make our country proud but no one really knows how they fought their house, the society to make a difference in the lives of their granddaughters and bring positive change for women in their male-dominated community. It is an extremely powerful story. It is a film about the triumph of human spirit, a film about faith. It’s a true story of courage because you have these women who have changed the ecosystem for women and society around them."

Meanwhile, Taapsee shared the poster on social media and wrote, "They challenged their age, fought their way and shot to fame in the shooting game. First Look Out Now. #SaandKiAankhThisDiwali".

The film will hit the screens on Diwali.
