Riteish Deshmukh’s 'Bangistan' banned in UAE & Pakistan

Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat starrer ‘Bangistan’ was banned in UAE and Pakistan. The film’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani is disappointed with the announcement. The film was banned by the UAE censor board as they find the film content objectionable.

Directed by Karan Anshuman, ‘Bangistan’ features Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez. "It is very disappointing that the censor board finds the film offensive as there is no such content in the film. We shall be sending it to the re-examining committee," said Ritesh.

Riteish Sidhwani tweeted:-

#Bangistan banned in #pakistan #UAE I’m now told may be #Singapore as well. Can the censor boards in these countries give us a written 1/2

He further tweeted:

#Explanation clearly specifying what did they find offensive in our film..I’m Shocked as to how they have missed the message in

The film mostly shot in Poland and Ladakh, tells the story of two suicide bombers, Hafeez Bin Ali Ishwarchand Sharma (Riteish) and Allah Rakha Khan Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit), with lofty ideologies, but ordinary talent, on a mission to change the world. They eventually realize that killing themselves and killing others is foolish.

‘Bangistan’ is slated to release in India on Friday.
