Riteish Deshmukh gets police protection post ‘Bangistan’ release

Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat’s ‘Bangistan’ releases today and looking at its controversial content and hullabaloo surrounding the film over its controversial Hindu-Muslim content, the film star casts Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat has seek additional police protection.

‘Bangitan’ was banned in UAE and Pakistan and there is a nationwide outrage over the film’s controversial content about Hindu-Muslim angle and terrorism. The hilarious movie drew flak from various religious groups as well. Following the protests, the two actors of the film have asked for additional security. 

As the film released today, fresh protests sparked everywhere. The Censor Board has reportedly received a letter from the Hindu Legal Cell, calling for a stay on its release.

‘Bangistan’ a political satire revolves around two suicide bombers- one Hindu and the other Muslim who plan to bomb a religious conference. Later they realize that killing themselves and others is nothing but a foolish task.

Many Hindu religious groups protested against ‘Bangistan’ for portraying a Hindu as a potential terrorist in the film.

Recently, a lot of organisations had protested against Salman Khan's latest release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and last year, Aamir Khan's ‘PK’ too invited similar indignation. Riteish and Pulkit sought for extra security to prevent any mishap. 

As a result, security forces were deployed outside the actors' houses. ‘Bangistan’ released on August 7.
