‘Retired hurt’, says Sunil Grover as Rishi Kapoor urges for patch-up with Kapil Sharma

Even as fans of Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover are hoping that the two ace comedians bury the proverbial hatchet and get back together, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has actually tried to get the warring duo together again.

Rishi Kapooor, who is known for his unusual and hilarious tweets, posted another of his quirky tweets urging Kapil and Sunil to patch up. The ‘Kapoor & Sons’ actor wrote, “IPL. There is a look-alike of Kapil Sharma in the team of Sun Risers Hyderabad. Anyone finding Sunil Grover in any team? Mil Jao Yaaro! (get together friends)”

While this was a sweet gesture on the part of Rishi Kapoor, Sunil, responded to the actor’s tweet with equal sweetness, but stood his ground. [email protected] @KapilSharmaK9 Sir, I am not playing this season coz I am retired hurt. Best Regards,” replied Sunil, who used to play the characters of Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Devi on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

When Rishi Kappor and wife Neetu Singh came on the comedy skit and chat show to promote the actor’s autobiography ‘Khullam Khulla’ sometime ago, Sunil had dressed up in red salwar-kameez and presented himself… er, herself before them as Ranbir Kapoor’s prospective bride.

Things soured between the two comedians after Kapil allegedly assaulted and abused Sunil in an inebriated state abroad a flight while they were returning from a tour in Australia. Kapil reportedly even hurled a shoe at Sunil. After the incident which took place on March 16, Sunil didn’t turn up for the shooting of the show, while two team members – Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar have also quit the show.
