Rishi Kapoor goes gaga over son Ranbir’s performance in ‘Sanju’


Rishi Kapoor can’t stop praising his son Ranbir Kapoor after watching the trailer of ‘Sanju’. His reaction after watching ‘Sanju’ is unbelievable. Ranbir was so real in the role of Sanjay Dutt that he thought he was watching Sanjay Dutt on screen.

“The way Rajkumar Hirani has presented Ranbir is the biggest superb thing, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on (wife) Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt,” said Rishi after watching the trailer, read a statement.

“You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod (Chopra) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt,” he added.

When Rishi Kapoor's reaction was show to Ranbir on a show, he was extremely surprised with his dad’s praises. He said, “Mene abhi kuch 13-14 fime ki hai, papa kabhi kuch aacha nahi bolte, hamesha unka ek tareeka hai kasar rahi, taaki mein aur aache se focus kar paaun. Jab Raju sir ne mujhe yeh shoot karke ke bheja tha, I swear I was so touched. Meri zindagi ka maqsad tha ki papa bolenge ki tune kamaal kiya.”

‘Sanju’ showcases the highs and lows of Sanjay’s life. The biopic features Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Vicky Kaushal in the pivotal role.

'Sanju' will hit theatres on June 29, 2018.
