Rishi Kapoor pokes fun at Huma Qureshi, later apologizes

Rishi Kapoor has yet again drawn the flak of Twitterati. He is been attacked for tweeting about Huma Qureshi’s weight on the actress’s 29th birthday. The veteran actor poked fun at Huma’s weight which did not go well with the micro-blogging users. When situation turned worse, Rishi Kapoor is bound to seek an apology.

On her 29th birthday on July 28, Rishi was among others who wished the actress but his wish invited criticism.

“Happy Happy Birthday dear @humasqureshi. God Bless,” the 62-year-old actor had reportedly tweeted along with a funny image which read: “The more you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap.. Stay safe.. Eat cake!”

The post drew a lot of flak, which made the actor seek an apology and then he withdrawn his words.

“Apology. It was my personal joke with Huma on her birthday. If people took umbrage to it and some abuse just for the sake, I retract the same,” he then tweeted.

But Huma, who has worked with the actor in ‘D-Day’ did not mind the post and thanked him for wishing her on her D-day.  

“Thank you to one of my fave co-stars the ever amazing @chintskap for bday wishes and love…Guys, it was a joke…take a chill pill yaar (sic),” she tweeted on Wednesday.
