Rishi Kapoor couldn’t recognise his ‘Damini’ co-star Meenakshi Sheshadhari

Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor said he could not recognise yesteryear actress Meenakshi Sheshadhari for a moment when he met her after several years. He updated his fans and followers about this on Twitter.

The actor who is working for Shakun Batra’s upcoming project ‘Kapoor & Sons’ took a picture of him and Meenakshi and posted on the micro-blogging site asking fans to guess who the lady was.

“Any guesses who this is? I didn't recognise her for a moment. What a lovely surprise. Name in 30 mins no hints,” Rishi tweeted on Wednesday. He got many replies, many of which had the correct answer.

The 62-year-old actor then tweeted, “99% got it right. Meenakshi Sheshadhari as always whenever in Mumbai pays us a visit unannounced. Looking gorgeous.”

He also shared with his fans some information about his ‘Damini’ co-star and also hinted that she may work in a film if approached with a good role. The lovely actress had quit films after marrying businessman Harish Mysore and shifted to the US.

“Damini, MS, lives happily with hubby Harish Mysore and 2 kids, girl and a boy in Dallas, U.S. Visiting relatives, can work in film if a good role,” Rishi posted.

Rishi and Meenakshi have also worked together in films like ‘Vijay’, ‘Sadhna’, ‘Ghar Parivar’, ‘Bade Ghar Ki Beti’ and ‘Gharana’.

There were speculations that Meenakshi will make a comeback with Sunny Deol starrer ‘Ghyal Once Again’, the sequel of the 1990 hit film ‘Ghyal’. Sunny Deol was also a part of ‘Damini’ in which Meenakshi played the title role.

At a recent event in Mumbai, Meenakshi said the news about her working in ‘Ghyal’ sequel was not true. “There were talks, but nothing materialised. Whatever you have heard so far, it's all just stories and not true. I am not interested in films at this point. I would like to do stage production and dance dramas,” she clarified.

“I didn't work in movies for this long because my kids and family are more important to me. I am thinking that the day my daughter graduates, maybe at that time I will think about something,” Meenakshi added.
