Revealed: Varun Dhawan’s character details in ‘Judwaa 2’
Varun Dhawan is all set to reprise Salman Khan’s twin roles in the sequel of the 1997 super-hit comedy ‘Judwaa’. Titled ‘Judwaa 2’, the female leads for the film will be played by Jacqueline Fernandes and Taapsee Panu, who will step into the shoes of Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, respectively.
And now, some details about Varun’s character in the movie has also been revealed. The original film had one of Salman’s character Prem based in London; and in the new film as well, one of Varun’s twin avatar will be from London, but he will play a college student.
A Mumbai Mirror report quoted a source associated with the project as saying, "In one of his avatars, opposite Taapsee, Varun will portray a college student. These portions will be filmed in London. His tapori twin will be seen romancing Jacqueline Fernandez and their scenes will be shot in Mumbai."
The report also stated that ‘Judwaa 2’, which will be entirely different from the original film, is expected to go on floors in February next year.
The script for the film has been written by duo Sajid-Farhad and it is generously peppered with ‘tapori’ slang. Currently, the team is working on the looks of the four characters. The soundtrack will also include a remix of the chartbuster ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’ from the original, along with fresh tracks. Buzz is rife that original ‘Judwaa’ stars Salman and Karisma might also do a cameo in the sequel.
‘Judwaa 2’ will be directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, who have also directed and produced the original. The makers are targeting September, 2017 for releasing the sequel.
