Revealed: Probable contestants of 'Bigg Boss 8'

Popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ is all set to begin its eighth season on TV. The promos are already out and it features Salman Khan in his inimitable style saying "Agar bata do kyun karne aaya hu mai aapse bhent, to main samjhunga aapko great. But don't be late, Because hum start kar rahe hain straight."   Each season features a unique tagline and the 8th season is no exception. The tagline for the new season has also been revealed. It goes like this: `Bigg Boss aath, sabki lagegi vaat`. The promos also hint at several surprises being in store for the audience.

One of the most talked about part of the show is its contestants. Over the years, the show has seen a crazy mix of characters- porn stars, politicians, WWE wrestlers, cross dressers, married couples and more.  Since there has been no official announcement regarding the contestants, speculation is still going strong about who will enter the ‘Bigg Boss’ house this season.

At this point there are several names doing the rounds- Arya Babbar, Shweta Salve, Karishma Tanna, Upen Patel and Minissha Lamba, to name a few. However Minissha Lamba has remained tight lipped about her involvement in the show. The name of actor-comedian Sunil Grover, populary known as ‘Gutthi’ from the show ‘Comedy Nights’, is also being heard. Talks are also on with veteran actor Shivaji Satam. As per reports, outspoken political leader Kumar Vishwas was also approached for the show but he had demands that the channel refused to accept. He demanded through a letter to the channel that they donate Rs 21 crore to a charitable government-run fund for war widows. He said in the letter, “I will participate in the show if it is linked to some charity”. Critics are saying that it is another publicity stunt from the AAP leader who likes to make news with his actions and comments.

The channel initially planned the show for October but later shifted it to September. The opening episode will be shot in Karjat. Rest of the episodes will take place in the Bigg Boss house in Lonavala.  The host of the show Salman Khan is currently in the US for his medical checkup. A source informed, "It is an annual medical check-up that the actor has gone for… He will go to Dubai from LA on September 8 and then return to Mumbai on September 13." After returning he will start shooting for ‘Bigg Boss 8’.
