Remo invites Varun for special performance on ‘Dance +’ premiere

Director-choreographer Remo D’Souza who quit the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ is set to judge a similar show on a different channel.

The new dance show titled ‘Dance +’ where Remo will be the ‘maha judge’ will premiere with a special performance by Varun Dhawan, the lead actor of Remo’s directorial ‘ABCD 2’. Varun had displayed some powerful and mesmerizing dancing in the film which grossed over Rs 100 crore.

The ‘Mein Tera Hero’ actor who looks up to Remo due to their dance connect immediately agreed to the latter’s request to appear as a special guest on ‘Dance +’, according to a source.

“Not only this, Varun will also be doing a special performance on some of Remo’s songs. Remo was really keen on having Varun and since they’ve just delivered a hit, it was really sweet of Varun to agree to come on the show,” the source said in a statement.

Dancers Shakti Mohan, Sumeet Nagdev and Dharmesh Yelande , who was also a part of the ‘ABCD’ franchise, will be the mentors to the contestants. The maiden season of the show will kick start with performances by Varun along with Remo and the three mentors.

‘Dance +’ will start airing on Star Plus by the end of July. The show will have three teams under Shakti, Sumeet and Dharmesh, who will perform solo, couple and group dances choreographed by respective mentors.
