Top Reasons To Watch Amitabh's ‘Shamitabh’

will see Big-B fans crowd the theaters to enjoy ‘Shamitabh’. This R Balki drama is worth watching for several reasons:

1Title: The first impression is the last impression. And ‘Shamitabh’ does a brilliant job in this context. The title is smart and gives info about the star cast as well ‘Dhanush-Amitabh-Bachchan’. The title is very creative and makes the audience expect the same creativity in the movie too.

2.The trio: The stellar cast- Amitabh, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan guarantees a wonderful performance. Being the daughter of super star Kamal Haasan, a lot is expected from Akshara Hasaan. It is her Bollywood debut and it would be interesting to see how she does on the silver screen. Akshara has been doing very well until now. It is reported that she choreographed her own dance and was praised by Amitabh for such work. The praise she got was a very special one “woman of substance” was what Amitabh had to say about her.

3.The perfect director-actor combo: Entertainment is ensured when R Balki and Amitabh Bachchan team up. The two have done excellently in ‘Cheeni Kum’ and ‘Paa’. The 2007 release ‘Cheeni Kum’ was loved for its heart warming romance. ‘Paa’ in 2009, received loads of praise for its one of a kind plot. It won Amitabh  his fifth Filmfare Best Actor Award and also National Film Award for Best Actor.

4.Dhanush: The handsome actor won millions of hearts with this role of love struck boy in ‘Raanjhana’. His Bollywood debut was splendid, and now he is all set to appear in his second Hindi film. He has very well established his image as a successful actor in the south Indian film industry. He is the proud recipient of National Film Award for Best Actor. Also, he is the son-in-law of the legendary actor Rajinikanth.

5.Character: Amitabh Bachchan’s character sounds quite gripping. He plays a drunkard who is disappointed with his life. This alcoholic is a voice artist and helps a mute actor. This role is played by Dhanush who dreams of earning a name in Bollywood. These two then get together and the plot shows their journey. Another aspect that the film shows is the clashing of egos.

6.The music: Brilliant composition is sure to follow wherever Ilaiyaraaja goes. This maestro has composed the soundtrack and the background score. His work is being appreciated very well with the tracks -  ‘Piddly Loo’, ‘Ishq-e-Filum’ and ‘Sha sha sha mi mi’.
