Raveena Tondon refuses Anurag Kashyap’s next film

The ‘90s diva Raveena Tandon is making her comeback with the Anurag Kashyap directoral  ‘Bombay Velvet’. But ‘no’ is what the actress said when the director approached her for his next film. This one is titled ‘Return Gift’ and would be produced by Anurag Kashyap, while Vikas Bahl would handle the direction. As a source told the media, “Vikas is still working on the script while focussing more on the post production of Shandaar which stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor. After the film hits the theatres, he will take start shooting for ‘Return Gift’. Kashyap, in his capacity as the producer, decided to offer a role to Raveena in the film, but she refused as she didn't like the role.”

Raveena had almost said no to ‘Bombay Velvet’ too. Fans were delighted to hear that the actress was making a comeback. But Raveena set the media on fire with a statement in which she denied being a part of the film anymore “I am no longer a part of Bombay Velvet. Eveything has changed. The whole scenario of movie has changed now. I had finished shooting my part too but there were a lot of changes in the sequences... So, I told Anurag that I will not do this film. I will work with him in his next project.”

This had creating a lot of excitement, and Raveena let it go on for sometime. But only after a week, there came the twist. “Ok so fed up of misinterpretations of what I said !!! just doing a FRIENDLY APPEARANCE for MADHU and @anuragkashyap72 in Bombay velvet. Too much hype around my appearance in the film,I have done it for fun and only because I love the film and the music of bombayvelvet! Didnt think so many stories wld come out of 1statement,lot of Twitter friends askd me,thought shld let d noise die down say this for once. When asked all the time about it, all I said was ‘don’t know if I will be there also or no in the final edit as film is in the editing stage’ ” were a couple of tweets by the actress.

‘Bombay Velvet’ is in the post-production stage and would be released in May. Raveena is thrilled about the project. She was quite frank when asked about any intimacy in the film. She clearly said that she didn’t do such scenes at the peak of her career, so she wouldn’t do it even now.
