Ranveer Singh undergoes face surgery

Ranveer Singh, who is working on his next film ‘Padmavati’, reportedly had to undergo a surgery recently. According to a report in India.com, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor underwent a minor face surgery over the weekend and has been advised rest for a few days.

The entertainment website quoted a source as saying, “On Saturday evening, Ranveer had visited a clinic around 4 pm and left from there at 7pm. He had got a small injury on his face which he needed to cure ASAP, as he has to resume the shooting for his period drama ‘Padmavati’.”

“The reason behind the injury is known better to Ranveer, but of late he has been in Switzerland where we all saw him indulging in some daredevil adventure sports. We are guessing he must have injured himself there. However, he is fine now and there’s nothing to worry about. He will be keeping himself away from shutterbugs and the doctors have advised him complete rest for a few days,” the source added.

Ranveer was appointed the official Indian ambassador for Switzerland Tourism, and recently shot for the hilly destination’s summer campaign titled 'InLoveWithSwitzerland'.

“I love travelling and experiencing everything that a country has to offer and with Switzerland that list never ends. People know Switzerland for its beauty and serenity, but it is also a wonderland for adventure enthusiasts like myself. As you can see in the TVC, my trip to Switzerland showcases a whole new side of the country; a fun and adventurous side complete with adrenaline filled activities, unique experiences and picture perfect panoramic views! I would recommend the experience to everyone and encourage everyone to add Switzerland as a must visit destination on their bucket list,” Ranveer had earlier said speaking about the campaign.

As for ‘Padmavati’, Ranveer will be seen in the grey-shaded role of Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the period drama also stars his alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
