First Look: Ranveer Singh's suave look for ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’

Zoya Akhtar directed film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ is also an Excel Entertainment venture starring Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. Ranveer Singh has the central role in the film. And to focus on his character in the movie, Ranveer has set aside 70-75 days from his schedule for the film. According to reports, Ranveer has willingly blocked bulk dates for the Zoya film.

Reports say the movie will be shot over a schedule of 80 days (approx) and major parts of the shooting will have Ranveer Singh.

The actor was reported saying a couple of days ago, “I am super excited to work with Zoya as I believe she’s one of the most talented directors in the industry.” The star will be found sporting in a new look in the film. And because of this the character is being kept under tight wraps.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani was quoted saying, “This is the first time you will be seeing Ranveer Singh as a leading man in an urban film. His look is very chic and suave. Therefore, we have restricted him from doing any other film or endorsements during our schedule of 4 months.”

There was a buzz that the actor has signed an exclusive contract for the film. But the actor’s spokesperson clarified that there is no exclusivity clause in the (film) contract, as reported earlier.

According to reports in the media, the Zoya film will be shot across Europe, Turkey, Spain, Italy and France. The movie is supposed to release on June 05, 2015.

The actor, known as fussy, has finally agreed to endorse some brands and has recently signed quite a few A-list brands.

In 2010, the actor appeared for the first time in the Yash Raj Films project ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. The romantic comedy was set in the world of wedding planning, where he featured as a typical Delhi guy called Bittoo Sharma. After its release, ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ became a commercial success. Ranveer won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut at the Filmfare Awards for his role in the film.

The actor was later seen playing a con artist in ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ (2011), a disguised robber in ‘Lootera’ (2013) and a Gujarati boy in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ (2013). He has also received critical acclaim for his role of a local goon in ‘Gunday’ (2014).
