Rani Mukherji to attend ‘Mardaani’ premiere in Poland

The blockbuster movie ‘Mardaani’ starring Rani Mukerji will release in Poland on 30th of January. The premier of this movie with Polish subtitles will be screened on the 28th of January. Rani Mukerji, who has a huge Polish fan following, will be attending this premier.

This red carpet event will be held in Warsaw, Poland. The screening will be at the iconic cinema, Kino Cinema Murano. Artur Zurawski, a native of Poland is the director of photography for this movie. This movie is thus, special to citizens of Poland and he will also be present at the event. Produced by Aditya Chopra, this film released all over the world on 22nd of August, 2014. Yash Raj Studios is proud as it will become the first Indian studio to have a premier in Poland. Their commitment to create quality movies and to take them to new heights has resulted in their success. 

A press show was held on the 20th of January to release this news to the media. Rani is now on her way to Poland to attend the big event. The story of ‘Mardaani’ revolves around Shivani Shivaji Roy (played by Rani), senior inspector of Mumbai Police crime branch. Rani sets out to hunt the mastermind who operates a wide network of child trafficking. A major part of the movie contains the cat and mouse game between a mafia head and a sincere police officer.

This Pradeep Sarkar movie was a blockbuster and earned Rs 25 crore in the first week of its release. This movie is said to be based on true events but many movie buffs claim that it is similar to Hollywood’s ‘Taken’ starring Liam Neeson.  ‘Mardaani’ received a 3.5 rating from several noted critics.

Mr. Perfectionist Amir Khan has praised the movie and Rani’s performance but suggested kids not to watch the movie. He said, “The violence and language shown through the movie, is the reason why I would suggest children not to watch it.”    

Rani’s Polish fans are eagerly waiting for her arrival in Warsaw. They however, will have to wait till the 30th of this month to see her movie. Warsaw, Lord and Krakow are the cities where this movie will be screened from the 30th. Later it will also be screened in the cities of Wroclaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan and Lublin. This movie received top ratings in Bollywood and now it’s time to see how it fares at the Polish box-office
