Rani Mukherjee cries on Yash Chopra’s birthday

Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee moved into tears on the occasion of ace filmmaker Yash Chopra’s birthday anniversary. On his 81st birthday, Pamela Chopra hosted a bash to celebrate Yashji’s birthday and to pay a tribute to his exceptional work. Nine hot favourite actresses of Bollywood walked the ramp including Rani Muherjee and while giving speech, she broke down.

Rani Mukherjee got emotional remembering Yash Chopra and when Shahrukh Khan asked Rani to say a few words about Yashji, she said: "Yash uncle I miss you a lot...please forgive me for not making cake for you last year as I was busy with my commitments...I miss you and we all love you."

Remembering her association with Yash Chopra, Rani got tears in her eyes. During his last birthday anniversary also Rani could not hold her tears, she broke down while unveiling Yashji's statue.

During the event, Rani Mukherji became very emotional and said, "I would like to thank UTV for this. It's a great moment for all the people who loved Yash uncle and the people who are associated with the family. We will all miss him," a visibly teary-eyed Rani told reporters.

Rani shares relationship with Yash Raj head honcho Aditya Chopra. She stands by Yash Chopra’s family and landed mental and emotional support to the family when Yash Chopra passed away.

Pamela Chopra and two sons, Aditya and Uday Chopra made a grand arrangement to celebrate this d-day. Along with his birthday celebration, it will also be a fitting tribute to Yashji.

Yash Chopra’s heroines have been roped in to commemorate Yashji’s birthday by walking the ramp.

A source close to the Chopra family said, “Pamelaji will be the host of the evening. The idea is to bring together Yashji’s heroines in a glamourous event. We will see Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Anushka Sharma and Katrina kaif hitting the ramp to commemorate Yashji’s birthday.”

A few days ago Pamela  Chopra said, “This year, we are in the process of putting together something really big.” The source added, “Pamela’s sons, Aditya and Uday Chopra too have worked hard for the celebration. The heroines agreed to walk the ramp since it was meant to be a tribute on Yashji’s birthday.”

Rani, Katrina and few others confirmed their presence.

 “They want to make it a day to remember. Nine actresses will showcase clothes inspired by Chopra’s films and the celebrations will be grand,” says a source close to the family. While several actresses have apparently shown keen interest  to be a part of the event,

The fashion show will be held at YRF studios. The fashion show will showcase India's first cinema inspired ethnic fashion design brand Diva'ni which is owned by YRF and KBSH.

Yash Chopra died suddenly on October 21 last year due to dengue. He was 80.
