‘Rangoon’ song: Kangana lashes a whip in ‘Bloody Hell’

The first song from Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan-starrer film ‘Rangoon’ is out. The track titled ‘Bloody Hell’ features leading lady Kangana, and a portion of the song was also seen in the much-appreciated trailer that released last week.

‘Rangoon’ is a love triangle involving the three lead characters, set in pre-independence period during World War II. Shahid plays a soldier, while Saif plays a filmmaker. Kangana plays a film star named Julia and her character is modelled after ‘Hunterwali’ Fearless Nadia.

The song begins with Julia arriving upon the stage riding on a horse and looks hot in the military suit and a whip in hand. The audience comprises of British officers, soldiers and Saif’s character is also spotted. The stage has a screen in the form of the flag of then Great Britain, which opens to a group of dancers on a well-designed stage. In course of the song, the video also shows romantic and tensed scenes of Kangana with Shahid and Saif.

The song has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and the unconventional lyrics penned by Gulzar. Director Vishal Bhardwaj has composed the music and has been choreographed by Norway-based Sudesh Adhana, who was specially invited to train the ‘Queen’ actress.

Speaking about the choreographer, Vishal told Mumbai Mirror, “Sudesh is not just a choreographer but also a lecturer in modern dance. We collaborated on an opera in Paris, A Flowering Tree, which I directed and he choreographed. Then, we joined hands for Haider’s Bismil which bagged him a National Award. He is an unusual personality.”

‘Rangoon’ is set to release on February 24.
