Shahid unveils a gloomy poster of ‘Rangoon’; trailer to be out on Jan 6
The first poster of Vishal Bhardwaj-directed film ‘Rangoon’ has been released and the trailer of the film will be out on January 6. The movie is a period drama set against the backdrop of World War II, and will feature some epic historic references about the Indian National Army (INA) and the Independence Movement.
The movie stars Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut. Shahid unveiled the poster on Twitter on January 1 by writing, “The wait is finally over and now, #Rangoon begins! Watch the trailer on 6th Jan. @RangoonTheFilm.”
The poster doesn’t feature any of the actors. It is grim in shades of grey and has silhouettes of soldiers in a battlefield, smoke all around and fighter planes in the sky. An image of a dilapidated church is also spotted. The words ‘Love War Deceit’ are written above the film’s title in the middle of the poster.
In the film, Shahid plays the role of a soldier, while Saif plays a filmmaker and Kangana will be seen as a film star named Julia.
‘Rangoon’ will hit screens on February 24, a day before Shahid’s 36th birthday.
