I was petrified to do intimate scenes with Aishwarya, Ranbir

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, now Ranbir Kapoor has opened up about his intimate scenes with the former Miss World in Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Although Anushka Sharma is the leading lady of the film, Aishwarya and Ranbir’s sizzling chemistry and steamy scenes are grabbing all the attention.

In a candid chat with PlanetRadioCity, the ‘Rockstar’ actor said, “I was petrified when I had to enact out intimate scenes with her (Aishwarya). But she would scold me and tell me to do the scenes properly. So, I told myself to make the most of the chance I had.”

Ranbir added that with the film, he got to fulfil his wish of working with the ‘Jazbaa’ actress. “With this, I get to tick two wishes off. One, was to work with Madhuri Dixit which got fulfilled with a song (‘Ghagra’ in ‘Ye Jawani Hai Deewani’), and the second was to work with Ash,” he said.

Ranbir revealed that he first met Aishwarya on the sets of his father Rishi Kapoor’s directorial ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’, on which he had worked as an assistant director.

“I’ve known Ash for very long. She had acted in my father’s film, ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ and I was an assistant director on the film. So, we’ve been friends since then. And once she got married to Abhishek Bachchan, who’s been more like family to me, I’ve gotten to interact with her better,” Ranbir said.

“Also, I’d like to point out that she is a very like-minded person. If I did have a friend, it would be her. She is very warm, knowledgeable, passionate about movies and graceful as a person,” he added.

Talking about ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, Ranbir said, “It is not a love story, it is a story about love, friendship and heartbreak. The question you will ask yourself is would you choose a soulmate or a bestmate. There are a lot of aspirational aspects in the film which you expect from a Karan Johar film. So, it’s a completely escapist film. You can forget your worries while watching the film.”

The film is set to hit screens on October 28.
