Ranbir Kapoor to replace Big B as ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ host?

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, ever since it started in 2000, barring season three when Shah Rukh Khan hosted the popular game show. Now, if reports are to be believed, then Ranbir Kapoor will replace Big B as the host for the upcoming season of the show.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, popularly known as ‘KBC’, is based on the UK game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’, and has already conducted eight seasons, the last one in 2014.

A leading entertainment portal, citing reliable sources stated the upcoming season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’  will see a change of host and Ranbir Kapoor will be hosting the game show’s ninth season.

“As of now, the way things are standing, the rumours about Ranbir Kapoor replacing Amitabh Bachchan to be hosting the next season of ‘KBC’ seems more like a market buzz, since there has been no official announcement or confirmation about the same,” the report in Bollywood Hungama further stated.

‘KBC’ brought a revolution of sorts in the Indian television industry when its first started airing on Star Plus. The top-rated show gives opportunity for the common man to be not just seated with the legendary actor, but also take home monetary prizes, to the tune of crores, if one is lucky.

The show moved from Star Plus to Sony TV for the fourth season.
