Ram Gopal Varma cheated on Neetu Chandra

About a week ago, Neetu Chandra was called by film maker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) to his Oshiwara office in Mumbai. The film maker wanted to make a film on the life of Chinese American martial artist and actor Bruce Lee. For that movie he wanted a female lead to step into the shoes of the master’s high kicking shoes. Neetu Chandra is trained in Taekwondo and is also a black belt holder in Taekwondo. In 1997, she represented India in World Taekwondo Championship in Hong Kong. After she came to know that she had been summoned by RGV, she got excited about the role of the leading lady. She prepared to pitch herself for the role in that meeting.

Neetu has earlier worked with Ram Gopal in ‘Rann’ in 2010.

Neetu stepped in Ram Gopal Varma’s office with great hopes. The director called her and for an hour he discussed the plump project with her. He told her about the action sequences and what he was looking for in the leading lady. A source close to Ram Gopal Varma said, “The meeting lasted for over an hour, and throughout the whole time, Ramu animatedly described his ambitious plans for the film, the nature of the plot, and the way he's planning to approach the high octane action scenes with his female lead.”

Then Neetu was in for a shock. Ram Gopal Varma showed her a few shots from the movie, which he has already filmed with a new comer and he wanted Neetu to train the new actress in Taekwondo.  The moment she heard that Ram Gopal was considering her as a Taekwondo trainer, she abruptly but politely ended the meeting and went out from his office. She didn’t commit helping Ramu.

When contacted, Neetu said, “Why will I train some other actress and not do it myself?”

Ram Gopal Varma said, "I'm busy with ‘Satya 2’. Will cast for the Bruce Lee film later.”

Neetu Chandra debuted in Bollywood in 2005 with ‘Garam Masala’. Apart from Hindi, she acted in few Telugu, Tamil and Bhojpuri movies. She is currently working in a Greek movie ‘Home Sweet Home’. She is also acting in two Hindi movies ‘Shooter’ and ‘Kusar Prasad Ka Bhoot’. Both these movies are scheduled for 2013 release. Neetu has also produced a Bhojpuri in 2011. The movie is called ‘Deswa’.
