Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Newton’ in 2018 Oscar race

Rajkummar Rao’s new release ‘Newton’ is India’s official entry to Oscar. Rajkummar Rao expressed his happiness in the following words, “Very happy to share this news that # Newton is India's official entry to the #Oscars this year. Congratulations team,” he tweeted.

The film opened with rave reviews today and Rajkummar Rao plays the central character of Newton Kumar.

"The best choice in years by the federation," responded Hansal Mehta, director of ‘Shahid’.

‘Newton’ based on India's political and electoral system, was selected out of 26 films by a jury of 14 members.
