Aditya Chopra to launch Raj Kapoor’s grandson Aadar Jain
Raj Kapoor’s youngest grandson Aadar Jain is all set to make his Bollywood debut as an actor. The handsome hunk will be launched by none-other-than Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films. Adhar’s launch vehicle will be a romantic drama to be helmed by ‘Ishaqzaade’ director Habib Faisal.
Aadar’s elder brother Armaan Jain has already debuted with ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’, while his cousins Karisma, Kareena and Ranbir are established actors in the film industry.
The newbie’s cousin Karisma shared a a snapshot of an article of a leading daily on her Instagram account that divulged all the information about the star kid’s entry. The 42-year-old actress proudly captioned the post, “To new beginnings #congrats #cousinbrother #workhardandshine #familylove @aadarjain @rimosky.”
Ranbir’s sister Ridddhima also congratulated her cousin on the social platform and wrote, “The next super star has arrived!!!! All the best baby bro Aadar Jain love you Rima Jain @aadarjain @rimosky.”
Talking about Aadar, casting director Shanoo Sharma told the daily, “I would keep running into Armaan and Aadar at Dharma Productions, while casting for Karan’s (Johar) movie. I told Aadar that I wanted to capture him on video just talking. He came across as very charming and incredibly cute. There’s a whole different side to him – flirtatious and mischievous – Aadar has Shashi Kapoor’s energy about him. I showed the video to Adi (Aditya Chopra) who liked him, too, and said we could cast him whenever something suitable was happening.”
She further added, “Aadar did not get Habib’s film because he is Raj Kapoor’s grandson, but because this boy has it in him. He is incredibly watchable, arresting and has that charisma. In the end, no matter what, if Habib Sir didn’t believe in the boy, nothing would have made him sign him. It has to be the perfect casting.”
Younger son of Rima and Manoj Jain, Aadar studied acting and filmmaking in Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, America. He has also worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, which starred his cousin Ranbir, along with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
