‘Raees’ success bash: Shah Rukh, Nawaz shake a leg with Sunny Leone

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer film ‘Raees’, which got off to a good start crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark on Monday, January 30. During its six-day run in theatres, ‘Raees’ raked in Rs. 106.14 crore, becoming the actor’s seventh film to make it to the coveted club.

Team ‘Raees’ celebrated the love and appreciation received by the film from audience across the globe, in Mumbai on Monday night. Shah Rukh, who co-produced the film under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment, organised a success party with the entire team, including, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sunny Leone, director Rahul Dholakia and co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. Leading lady Mahira Khan was, however, missing.

Usually, any kind of party involves wining and dining, but team ‘Raees’ took a different route and kept alcohol off the menu. Interestingly, the movie is set against the backdrop of Gujarat during the peak of Prohibition in the 1990s, and revolves around a bootlegger involved in liquor business.

January 30 being declared a dry day, was a perfect day for the alcohol-less celebrations. Instead of liquor, alcohol bottles were filled with mocktails. Even the food served had a touch of ‘Raees’ with items named Raees galouti on ulte tawe ka paratha, Dhingana paneer tikka, Zaalima pulav counter and Laila's crispy chilly potatoes with green onions.

Even the cast and crew wore T-shirts that had the film’s dialogues printed on them, like ‘Baniye ka dimag aur miyanbhi ki daring’, ‘Battery nahi bolne ka’, ‘Sheron ka zamana hota hai’ and ‘Apna time shuru’.

Sunny Leone, who had a special appearance in the recreated version of the classic song ‘Laila Main Laila’, looked gorgeous in a calf-length beige and gold outfit. Shah Rukh, Nawaz and others also shook a leg with ‘Laila’ Sunny.

Earlier, the team arrived on jeep at the party and everyone had a gala time.
