Radhe Maa not in ‘Bigg Boss’; issues statement on Facebook


As the ninth season of the most awaited reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ draws near, names of probable contestants are doing the rounds. Among them, controversial self-styled god-woman Radhe Maa’s name also features as a participant.

However, pouring cold water on the excitement of ‘Bigg Boss’ fans, Radhe Maa rubbished the news and said there was no truth in it.

Radhe Maa’s official Facebook account on Tuesday (September 8) posted a public notice from her lawyer that said ‘unscrupulous and atheist have falsely alleged’ that Radhe Maa will be on ‘Bigg Boss 9’. According to the post, she has not given her consent to appear in the show, nor has she had any prior knowledge to about the reports claiming the same.

The ‘public notice’ further maintains that such baseless reports be ignored as they have been circulated at the insistence of persons who are bent dissuading Radhe Maa from pursuing her various charitable, religious and social activities.

Earlier, ‘Makdee’ actress Shweta Basu Prasad whose name also emerged as a possible contestant declared on Facebook that she was not contesting in the show. "No not participating in Bigg Boss. Please don't believe the pseudo news that's doing the rounds," she posted.

Actor-producer Uday Chopra and model-actress Mandana Karimi also took to their respective Twitter handles to deny their participation in ‘Bigg Boss’.

However, Housing.com co-founder Rahul Yadav had posted on his Facebook wall, "And the Big Boss talks are getting serious. WTF! Any advice? [I really don't know what this Big Boss really is. Not watched TV from 13 yrs]"

So, it seems there is one confirmed candidate on the list. The names of final contestants will be only revealed when the show premieres later this month.
