Punjabi singer Parmish Verma shot by a man at Mohali

The well-known Punjabi singer Parmish Verma was shot by a man at Mohali in Punjab. Unidentified assailants fired at ‘Gaal Nahin Kadni’ singer on Friday. He was admitted to Fortis hospital in Mohali town in Punjab. Police sources informed that Verma’s knee was injured in the firing.

"Some unidentified persons fired shots at Parmish last night at Sector 91 in Mohali when he was returning home. A bullet hit his leg," Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said.

According to a report, the most wanted gangster, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan claimed to have shot Verma. He uploaded a status on his Facebook page, along with a picture of himself holding a pistol and another picture of Verma with his face cross.

“Mein dilpreet Singh dhahan sariya nu dasna chaunda k ajj parmish verma de goliya bazian apa mariya.(I, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, want to tell everyone that I am behind the shooting of Parmish Verma),” the post claims. The post has been shared 41 times.

The incident took place when Parmish Verma along with his friend was travelling in his car. The friend of the singer was also injured.

A police officer was quoted as saying that Verna is now out of danger. A case is registered and investigation is underway.

Parmish Verma hogged the limelight when his popular hit 'Gaal Ni Kadni' was garnered more than 118 millions on YouTube.
