Priyanka to grace New Year special episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

Bollywood’s international actress Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in Mumbai, will appear on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to ring in the New Year. Last time she appeared on the comedian’s erstwhile show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ to promote her film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and both Kapil and Priyanka created a laugh riot then.

Priyanka will shoot for the comedy show on Wednesday, December 21, at Film City in Mumbai, and the episode will be telecast on New Year Day, a report in entertainment site SpotboyE stated.

Besides the show on Sony TV, Priyanka will also be gracing the couch on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan 5’, but this time she will be appearing solo. In the previous four seasons of the show Priyanka had appeared with Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone respectively.

Priyanka landed in Mumbai on December 18 after nearly six months and received a warm welcome from her fans. She has already made her first public appearance at the Stardust Awards on Monday night, where she was honoured with the Global Icon of the Year title.

At the event, she also revealed that she will do two Bollywood films next year and will give nod to them by January. She mentioned that she has gaps between the shoots of her American drama series ‘Quanico 2’, during which she will focus on her Bollywood projects.

“I will be doing two Bollywood films next year. I have come to India to decide on those films. By the end of January, I will finalise which those films will be,” Priyanka said.

Priyanka will also be shooting for her endorsement deals and some magazine covers, while meeting a few filmmakers to discuss and finalise scripts.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting to see Priyanka in her Hollwood debut ‘Baywatch’ starring Dwayne Johnson. The action-comedy is set to hit screens on May 26, 2017. Priyanka also revealed that the ‘Baywatch’ team will be arriving in India to promote the film.

"We have made a global plan for the promotion of Baywatch, of which India is a part. So, yes, the Hollywood cast will come to India to promote the movie," the actress said.

After spending Christmas and New Year season, Priyanka will be flying back to the US to continue the shoot of ‘Quantico 2’.
