Priyanka makes singing debut with ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’

Talented actress Priyanka Chopra went behind the mike and sung first time for any Bollywood film. Priyanka has already made a mark in singing with her international album, ‘In My City’ and now she is permitted to sing for any movies. Going by the contract, Priyanka was not allowed to sing for any film but now she was given green signal.

She has sung a lullaby for Mary Kom’s biopic but sung a full length song for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. “Priyanka had recited some lines in Mary Kom which was a lullaby, not a proper song. In her upcoming film, she has sung a song that will be part of end credits. It is a fun composition and she really loved singing it. This is the first time that she has done playback singing for a Bollywood film,” informed a source close to the star.

Before leaving for Los Angeles, the actress has recorded the song in Mumbai. The music of the film was composed by the trio Shankar- Ehsaan- Loy.

“Priyanka did record a song at Bandra studio last week before she went abroad. It is a solo track and has come out very well. There are also plans to shoot an accompanying video featuring Priyanka and her co- stars.”

Earlier, it was heard that Farhan Akhar will sing a song in her sister’s movie but later Priyanka was asked to sing for it. ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ features Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, along with Priyanka Chopra. It is slated to hit the screens on June 5, 2015.
