Priyanka gives away Best Film Editing Award to 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra gave presented the Oscars in the Best Film Editing category to 'Mad Max: Fury Road' along with Hollywood star Liev Schreiber at the 88th Academy Awards ceremony.

Priyanka gave away the award to film editor Margaret Sixel at the annual award ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Sixel thanked the team behind the George Miller directorial ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ while accepting the trophy. It is also her first Academy Award.

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was in the race for the golden statuette with 'The Big Short,' 'The Revenant,' 'Spotlight' and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.

Priyanka looked ravishing in a white strapless ensemble by Labanese designer Zuhair Murad. Big diamond drop earrings adorned her ears while her hair was pulled in a neat pony tail.

The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress is said to be the second Indian presenter at the coveted Hollywood award ceremony, with Persis Khambatta being the first. The model-actress who starred in 1979 film ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’ passed away in 1998 at the age of 49.

Priyanka has been rubbing shoulders with stars of international repute lately. The former Miss World forayed into the West last year with her American drama series ‘Quantico’ and created waves. She is currently shooting shooting for the second season of her thriller series on ABC network. She has also been roped in to star in ‘Baywatch’ movie with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

Back home, she will be seen as a tough cop Abha Mathur in Prakash Jha’s ‘Jai Gangaajal’ which is set to release on March 4.
