Priyanka Chopra to make Bollywood comeback with ‘Pink’ director’s next


Multi-talented Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi production ‘Ventilator’ bagged as many as three National Film Awards and the actress will be back home soon to celebrate the triple win. Priyanka’s American drama series ‘Quantico 2’ has just wrapped up and she will be landing in Mumbai this weekend. That is when the actress will sign her Bollywood films, stated a report in Mumbai Mirror.

The last time Priyanka was in India during Christmas and New Year holidays, she had announced of doing two Bollywood films this year. Reportedly, one of the films she is expected to sign and shoot is Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary’s untitled suspense thriller, which she will also be producing. Priyanka and Aniruddha are set to meet sometime next week for a final narration after which the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress will sign the dotted lines.

Aniruddha, who bagged a National Award for his Bengali movie ‘Antaheen’, made his Bollywood debut last year with Amitabh Bachchan starrer acclaimed film ‘Pink’ that recently won the National Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues. His next film is said to be a female-centric thriller inspired by real events. The movie is expected to go on floors by the middle of the year and release in early 2018.   

Priyanka was last seen in Prakash Jha’s ‘Jai Gangaajal’ that released in March 2016. She hasn’t done any Bollywood film since then as she was busy with her off-shore projects. She will be soon making her Hollywood debut in a negative role in ‘Baywatch’ starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron among others. Directed by Seth Gordon, ‘Baywatch’ is set to hit screens on May 26.
