Priyanka Chopra shares her childhood pic with grandmother & father


Bollywood’s international star Priyanka Chopra recently returned to Mumbai, after a busy scheduled in the US wrapping up for her Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’ and shooting the second season of her hit TV series ‘Quantico’.

Priyanka was undoubtedly excited to be home with her near and dear ones. The actress celebrated her maternal grandmother’s birthday on Saturday, May 28 and shared an old photograph of herself as a little girl with her ‘nani’ on Instagram.

“Happy 94th bday Nani. So happy to be home for it. Found this old pic..Dunno y we all look so pissed off .. But I Think my mom was forcing us to take the picture . #missedhome #throwback,” she captioned the picture.

It was the first picture the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress shared on the photo-sharing site after coming home. Priyanka’s father late Ashok Chopra is also seen in the photograph. Her father was a physician in the Indian Army.

On her return to Mumbai last week, Priyanka got a warm welcome from her friends and fans who were at the airport to receive her with balloons and bouquets. She was accompanied by her 'Quantico co-star,' Palestinian-Egyptian actress Yasmine Al Masri aka Jaz.  

Glad to be home, Priyanka immediately took to Twitter and posted, “Mere desh ki dharti.. So good to be home… #amchiMumbai.” 

The actress is on a ‘working vacation’ for about 40 days. According to reports, she will be shooting for several ad campaigns during the one and half month of her stay. She is endorsing a wide range of products, from a premium airline and jewellery line to a fruit beverage and even paan masala.

She also plans take out time for Jaz and visit the famed shrines of Siddhivinayak and Haji Ali with her. Jaz is on a 10-day vacation with Priyanka’s family and will return on June 6.

Meanwhile, Priyanka will be visiting Delhi and other cities on work and will head back to the US to continue the shoot for ‘Quantico’ season 2. Her last visit to India was in April for a brief while to collect her Padma Shri Award from President Pranab Mukherjee.
