Priyanka Chopra narrowly escapes New York terror attack


Priyanka Chopra, who is shooting in New York for the second season of Hollywood television series, ‘Quantico’ narrowly escaped the deadly terror attack in Manhattan that killed 8 innocent people in the city.

In her tweet, the actress informed that the attack happened “just five blocks” from her residence. In the following tweet, Priyanka condemned the attack saying that she heard “dreary sirens” as she was returning home after work. She also offered her condolences to “everyone affected by the tragedy.”

Priyanka Chopra tweeted, "Nyc.. As resilient as ever. I (heart) u. My condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy. This happened 5 blocks from my home,As I drive back home from work,Dreary sirens remind me that this is the state of the world #nyc #peace (sic)"

The Mayor has called the attack an 'act of terror'. The suspect has been arrested.

US President Donald Trump tweeted, "In NYC, looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged person. Law enforcement is following this closely. NOT IN THE U.S.A.! We must not allow ISIS to return, or enter, our country after defeating them in the Middle East and elsewhere. Enough! My thoughts, condolences and prayers to the victims and families of the New York City terrorist attack. God and your country are with you!"
