Priyanka Chopra meets PM Modi in a “lovely coincidence” in Berlin

Actress Priyanka Chopra on Tuesday got to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin. PM Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Germany, took time out to meet Priyanka, who is holidaying there post the release of her maiden Hollywood film 'Baywatch' starring Dwayne Johnson among others. It was a “lovely coincidence” that both of them happened to be at the same place on the same time.

Priyanka took to Twitter and posted an image of her posing with PM Modi and thanked his captioning it, “Thank you for taking the time to meet me this morning @narendramodi Sir. Such a lovely coincidence to be in #berlin at the same time.”

The ‘Quantico’ actress also shared another photograph on her Instagram page in which she is sitting in a chair beside the Premier. The duo seems to be having some discussion. Priyanka captioned it, “Was such a lovely coincidence to be in #berlin at the same time as the Prime Minister. Thank you @narendramodi Sir for taking the time from your packed schedule to meet me this morning.”

Modi arrived in Germany on Monday (May 29) marking the beginning of his six-day, four-nation tour of Germany, Spain, Russia and France. He was also given a ceremonial welcome in capital Berlin today.

Modi met German Chancellor Angela Merkel at her country retreat near Berlin, and after the meeting, the PM tweeted, “Had a very good interaction with Chancellor Merkel.” The Ministry of External Affairs said that the two leaders discussed Brexit, terrorism among other issues.

Today, after meeting Priyanka and receiving a ceremonial reception, Modi reached Hotel Adlon Kempinski at Palaisaal to attend the Indo-German Business Summit 2017. From the summit, Modi will depart for Castle Bellevue to meet German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Thereafter, the PM will depart for Berlin Tegel Airport to start his Spain tour.
