Priyanka Chopra hits back at trolls for criticizing her dress while meeting PM Modi

Priyanka Chopra met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin on Tuesday and the actress shared pictures of the meeting on her social media pages. But, the 34-year-old actress was criticised for her ‘inappropriate’ attire and sitting posture before the Prime Minister.

However, Priyanka seemed to be unfazed by the trolls who said she “disrespected” a national leader by wearing a short dress and showing off her legs. She hit back at the trolls with a very apt response with ‘more legs’.

The ‘Quantico’ actress posted a picture of her with mom Madhu Chopra, wearing outfits that revealed their legs. While Priyanka is wearing a denim dress with a slit in the middle, her mother is wearing a short skirt and top. Priyanka captioned the picture, “Legs for days.... #itsthegenes with @madhuchopra nights out in #Berlin #beingbaywatch.”

PM Modi was on a two-day visit to Germany and Priyanka was also present there at the same time promoting her just released Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’, and the two personalities met in a “lovely coincidence.” Priyanka wore a knee-length white dress during her meeting with the PM. The actress shared pictures on Twitter and Instagram with the caption, “Was such a lovely coincidence to be in #berlin at the same time as the Prime Minister. Thank you @narendramodi Sir for taking the time from your packed schedule to meet me this morning.”

Users deluged the comments section by ‘lecturing’ Priyanka about “manners”, “respecting elders” and “Indian culture.” Following are some of the negative comments made on her photograph with PM Modi:

“Madam maybe I think you can give give respect PM sir by your body language as per your sitting.”

“She shouldn't have flaunted her legs while meeting pm.”

“U should not sit like that in front of prime minister.”

“Bad choice of clothes Priyanka, you must have etiquettes what to wear and how to sit in front of elders.”

“This was a nice dress to meet Trump. With Quantico and Baywatch she forgot she is Indian. But he is our PM, please don't forget our culture.”
